Ask Selections Entertainment! We Are Here To Help You!

As i journey on this road call life i am truly thankful for the many blessings i receive everyday and the continued hard work and determination i give for Selections Entertainment.  Over the two years in business i continue to receive many emails and phone calls where people will ask me : How do you do it?, How do i start my own business? Where do you find time to do what you do? I also get emails that say: "You inspire me" , "Can you mentor me"? The list goes on and on! I am honored to help people and i answer the questions to the best of my ability. I let people know I'm not perfect and I'm not an expert but I'm here to help!

Many people ask questions that others are thinking but for some reason will never ask. To continue to help people, Selections Entertainment has created a page on Facebook call: Ask Selections Entertainment.  We want people to ask questions regarding how to stay in business, how to start a business, dealing with trials and tribulations as a business owner and words of encouragement in every day life. Remember we are here for you so ask away! If you want to be anonymous please email your questions and comments to mi@selectionsent.com or email me on fb under:Michelle Ifill or Selections Entertainment.

Thanks for the love and support and we look forward to helping you and we all can learn from each other and help each other.

Reflecting On 2010 As a Business Owner

As 2010 comes to a close i wanted to reflect on this year as a business owner. I'm sure many can relate to this and i hope you enjoy! Going into 2010 i was very excited! I had a great successful year in 2009 and i just knew it was going to be a repeat! Boy did i have a rude awakening! I was on a natural high from the wonderful new years party i had with an attendance of over 400 people, i was saying to myself oh this is a piece of cake! I started the year off with vol.2 of Speak Now Or Forever Hold Your Peace relationship forum.. Great crowd but of coarse i wanted my events to improve. I continued to step out the box with my other events such as the wine tastings, sex, sassy,& classy, my debut of desire desserts vol. 1 & 2, business mingles, spades tournament, and how can we forget two speed dating events! While all this was going on i continued my weekly radio show great minds think alike, book club Imaginable Minds, and continued with my catering services. Through all ...

Don't Give Up!

With many businesses closing small and big, the fight to keep a business open is very challenging in 2018! The big businesses are shutting down such as Sam's Club and Toys R US, so imagine what the small business owners are going through! I write this blog today to the small business owners to say don't give up! I know as you are reading this you are saying "easier said than done" but i'm a living witness that you have to keep going! Selections Entertainment is in year 9 and there are many days I want to give up but I say to myself "look how far you have came, what you have accomplished and how you have helped others. Take your business day by day, challenge yourself, ask yourself what you can do different, and how can you meet  and network with different people to build working relationships and build clientele. Also work on supporting other businesses!. The struggle is real but pray, have faith, and believe, you will get through the rough patches. I don...

Engagement Season Is Here! Take our Time!

The holidays are over and what happens? Engagement season is here! More will also come when valentine's day fast approaches! To all my engaged couples, enjoy it! The wedding industry can be very forceful and again i say enjoy it before you make major decisions, with vendors! Selections Entertainment loves wedding season but we also love our clients to enjoy their engagement. It can be overwhelming with telling family members, friends, wedding expos, and many ideas floating in your head. Enjoy sharing love with each other, taking engagement pictures, thinking about colors, people in wedding party and a start off budget! Also enjoy the ring ladies and let everything soak in ! LOL. Depending on your engagement period, start looking for vendors at least 3 to 4 months after your engagement!
