Bartending 101!

We need a bartender! Where do we start? Bartending services are more popular as a outsourcing service for parties, weddings,events, and meetings. Selections Entertainment provides bartending services and when we conduct consultations many people are clueless where to start.  Here are tips when you are searching for a professional bartender or bartender company.


  • Make sure bartender or  bartending company are certified. You can ask to see their bartending certificate
  • Make sure bartender or bartending company has liability insurance
  • Most bartenders charge 20.00 and up per hour and receives tips
  • Minimum required hours are 4 to 5. Please consider setup and clean up time
  • Bartenders are required to have appropriate dresscode attire
  • Conduct consultation with bartender or company. Don't assume they will show up and start working. Reviewing contracts, drink selections and supplies are the same as any other service

    Yeah that is true that bartender are the need of any event. In wedding of my brother, we needed a bartender for bartending services but our event coordinator arranged professional bartenders at his end. So I think everyone should hire a planner or event coordinator to manage everything.

Covid Times!

Where do I start with the wedding and event industry pertaining to covid! It's like a slow spiral going down! If  you are a business owner or in this industry, you can relate!Back in January I started hearing all this talk about covid in other countries and many people getting sick. I didn't think anything of it because they were in foreign countries and i thought"The U.S. should be fine.  That virus is not coming over here!" Then in February the first case came to NY. Don't Give Up!

With many businesses closing small and big, the fight to keep a business open is very challenging in 2018! The big businesses are shutting down such as Sam's Club and Toys R US, so imagine what the small business owners are going through! I write this blog today to the small business owners to say don't give up! I know as you are reading this you are saying "easier said than done" but i'm a living witness that you have to keep going!
